本人是一名女補習老師,自小成長於加拿大,直到12歲時返回香港接受教育。中學就讀於尖沙咀嘉諾撒聖瑪利書院 (一所傳統英文女子名校),會考英文成績為全部5* (為當時最高等級)。中五畢業後到美國繼續高中課程。期間完成了大學入學試 SAT和ACT, 也在Advanced Placement Program (AP)考取 “AP Scholar” 的榮譽。2011 年入讀加拿大的McGill University,主修政治和心理學, 於2015年畢業。及後回港在政府工作了一年,現於香港大學修讀法律博士學位。
本人於美國、加拿大和香港均有補習和教育經驗。在大學時主要向以英語為母語的人士提供英語寫作和閱讀教學;在香港,我主要教授非英語人士聽、說、讀、寫。 經過多年教學,本人已整理出一套習作和工作紙, 可就學生的進度進行適當的輔導。另外,本人的教育涉及文、理、商科,故可提供多角度和多方面用英語溝通的機會,替您打好英語基礎,以求達到您學習英語的目標。對於小學和中學生,本人有能力訓練及加強他們的表達和面試技巧。本人生動的教學方法,令本人的學生更主動及熱衷於學習英語。當然,本人也非常樂意按照您的要求,提供一切相關的協助。
Being a 25-year-old current law student at HKU, who was raised in Canada and had been educated both in Hong Kong and North America, I have ample experience in tutoring English for individuals ranging from kindergarten children to adults. I studied in St. Mary's Canossian College in Tsim Sha Tsui (prestigious Band 1 English Institution) from Secondary 1 to Secondary 5. In HKCEE, I achieved straight 5*s for all sub-categories under English Language. After graduating from Form 5, I moved to the States for the rest of high school. During the course of studies, I sat for the SAT and ACT tests and achieved high university-entrance grades, as well as taking Advanced Placement courses (U.S. Government and Politics, Calculus, Biology, and English Literature) for which I was awarded the title of “AP Scholar”. Later, I attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where I double-majored in Political Science and Psychology. After graduating from university, I moved back to Hong Kong to work in the government for a year. Soon after, I started reading Law in the University of Hong Kong. Since I have been tutoring English in the States, Canada, and Hong Kong, I am familiar with and competent in teaching students who are native English speakers but lack in writing and reading skills, and those who need all-rounded support in all categories of English including reading, writing, listening, and oral at different levels, including professional and business English. Notwithstanding, I am familiar with local and American academic programs. All of my students show steady improvements in the subject after my guidance. Many of them develop strong interests and motivation to read, write, and speak English as they advance. My patience and passion in teaching also add on to my experience in making me a resourceful tutor.
